The scope of that practice has extended across the Nation, and from traffic court to the United States Supreme Court. With my admission to the North Carolina Bar, I am returning home, but bringing back with my a wealth of experience to use on your behalf!
Federal Civil Rights
The right of the people to religious liberty, to freedom of speech and press, to peaceably assemble and to petition for redress of grievances is essential to self-government.
When government officials -- police on the street, teachers in schools, others cloaked with government authority -- restrain your rights under the First Amendment, there are solutions intended to secure these essential liberties.
For over a quarter century, I have litigated these rights under the Civil Rights Act, Title 42 of the United States Code. Whether you need an order of a court stopping an unlawful government practice of interfering with your speech activities, or have had economic injuries resulting from wrongful arrest, please be aware that the federal civil rights laws exist to remedy these wrongs.

With more than a quarter century of courtroom practice, allow me to evaluate your disputes and claims. Litigation is not often the answer to resolving business disputes or personal disagreements, but when it is, my goal is to insure that you are fully informed of your options, your rights, and your costs, and to insure that your case or defense has its best chance of successful presentation at trial or on appeal.
Criminal Law
It is not enough to hope that you will be viewed as innocent until proven guilty. You want to know that your case has been properly evaluated, that all your options have been explored, and that, if you must stand trial, or take an appeal, that your criminal case will be handled by an attorney with great care and diligence.
